I love using mini books with my emergent readers. These books with repetitive text are great for youngsters who are developing an understanding of the printed word. Books like this help the child improve her understanding of the concept of words, gain familiarity with the left-to-right orientation of reading (in English), and more.
This mini book is about cubes found in real life. The predictable text makes it simple for the preschool child to “read” the book. With realistic, uncluttered illustrations, the child can quickly deduce the new vocabulary word on each page. Also included in a blackline version so you can print off multiple copies for all the children in your class.
