☃️ COUNT & BUILD // Isn’t the snowman such a perfect ❄️seasonal character❄️ for playing with numbers 👌 The boys had so much fun reading numbers, counting, and matching while building a snowman made out of rocks from our backyard. 🙌 Swipe 👉 to see more of this early math fun, and read on below 👇 for the simple how-to on putting this together. – HOW TO: (1) I grabbed some white rocks from the backyard and used a permanent marker to turn them into a snowman. If you don’t have white rocks, grab any rock and paint them white (spray paint works well!). (2) I then traced the rocks onto some old cardboard (use a pencil first and then pen so as to not get black marks on those precious white rocks!) (3) I wrote numbers on the back of the rocks for reading and recognition, and on the cardboard, I wrote numbers represented by dots for matching. – For the months of November and December, I’ll be sharing some seasonal ideas to #holiday_simple_play. Some VERY creative accounts are also contributing so be sure to check it out if you need some holiday inspiration! – Also, I’m judging @manywaystoplay’s “Rocks and Pebbles” theme this week. Created by the lovely @flisatfun & @playtime.messy.madness.
