Are you looking for preschool activities for the Winter Olympic Games? These games come around once in four years, and they happen when school is in session unlike the summer Olympics which means we get to enjoy them with our students! We love adding a Winter Olympics theme to our curriculum during these special years.
Here is a set of free Winter Olympics printable counting clip cards you can use.
Counting Clip Cards are a great activity for preschoolers. Your students can practice linear counting, number recognition, and get some fine motor development in at the same time! The added challenge of using the clips makes these activities a perennial favorite in our class.
These cards are suitable for children who have already been introduced to number symbols and are practicing their rote counting from 0-10
Instructions:
- I like to stick a little dot sticker on the back of the card behind the correct number so the child can check his work independently. Skip this step if you prefer to give feedback to the child yourself.
- Place the cards in a basket along with a collection of clothespins
- Child selects a card and counts the number of items. He identifies the correct numeral and clips it with the clothespin.
